Avis has been training with dogs since the late 1990's. Her passion is teaching Gundog work to dogs and handlers at her purpose built training ground. Avis offers both group training and 1-to-1 sessions. During the year there are also invited trainer days, breed specific workshops, and evening classes. Novice handlers work in secure paddocks and more advanced students can be taken to truley wild areas, to water and later out under control in the shooting field.

Avis has successfully competed in working tests with her own dogs and some of her students are now running their dogs in tests and trials. She has had many hours of training with various dog trainers over the years and completed 4 years of work under the watchful eye of Kimberley Gundogs in Devon. Today she still works alongside many other trainers making sure her methods are up to date and constantly adding to the bank of knowledge. All the advice offered to clients is tailored to their their goals and requirements, so that people can achieve the dog behaviour they want. During the winter months you will find Avis out with her own dogs in the shooting field picking up at local estates. Avis is a KC accredited breeder of Labradors, Cockers and Springers.
