Gosia Rokicka
Dog Trainer
Gosia founded and co-owns an East London dog walking and training
company called Dogs & the City. Together with her friend and
business partner she runs puppy socialization and training classes
and basic manners for adult dogs and provides one-to-one training
tuition, behaviour help and socialization walks.
In addition, Dogs & the City offers daily group walks, day
care and home boarding.
Gosia comes from Poland and has been living in London since 2007.
She has vast experience in working with dogs - she used to work
as an animal care assistant in a veterinary hospital and as kennel
staff in a dog charity in her hometown. In London she worked full
time in one of the biggest British animal welfare charities and
she currently volunteers for the German Shepherd Rescue UK as a
homechecker and a dog assessor.
She shares her life with two white German Shepherd females - Laika,
the rescued one with phobias and issues (therefore Gosia has a deep
understanding for all dogs labelled as "difficult") and
Winnie, the "second hand" one with much more mellow attitude
to life. Gosia is a qualified Dog Training Instructor, certified
by the Cambridge Institute of
Dog Behaviour and Training. She is also an
Associate Member of Pet Dog Trainers of Europe and an Affiliate
of the International Society for Anthrozoology.
