Heather began studying dog training whilst in California and in 1985,was appointed manager of a large rescue and boarding kennel. This is where Heather accredits her learning and gained so much experience from working with all breeds of dog. Heather also explained that her penchant for Rottweilers, Dobermans and German Shepherd Dogs is as a result of working at a residential training establishment in Topanga.

Prior to starting her present training school, she was a member of Midlothian Dog Training Club, and Club Secretary, in 2006.

Heather currently offers Puppy Club classes, beginners and intermediate and operates the Kennel Club good citizen dog scheme up to gold. She is also an approved examiner and a full member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers.
