Sandra has owned, trained and competed with dogs for nearly 30 years. Her first dogs were members of dog display teams, two of them performing at Crufts, demonstrating sendaway, "Test C" Scent and various obedience exercises.
She has competed in Obedience and bred an obedience Champion. Sandra regularly competes in Working Trials and is currently training a "second hand" border collie for trials.
Sandra's canine qualifications include: Dog training instructor with The British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers and The British Association of German Shepherd Dogs. She is also a member of the KCAI scheme. Furthermore she holds diplomas in Kennel Management (Canine Studies Institute); Dog Grooming (Pets Paradise); Basic Canine First Aid (Pets in Partnership) and is also an accredited Kennel Club Working Trials Judge.
Previously, sandra has worked in a Boarding and Breeding Kennel and as a Professional Groomer for several years.
Sandra offers personalised dog training, either one to one or in small groups of four to five. She also offers introduction to Working Trials days for clubs or up to 10 handlers. Sandra uses positive reward based training with emphasis on the relationship of handler and dog, building on understanding the dog.
