Dog Home Boarding, Pet Care and Dog Training in East Sussex
Cheryl’s love of dogs started at a very young age, encouraged by the great example shown to her by her late Paternal Grandfather Alex and her Father Tom, They always had Dog’s in their lives. Cheryl learnt from a young age the benefits of a well behaved dog. Cheryl once old enough to own a dog herself got her first German shepherd and learnt the benefits of establishing good training.
Cheryl a banker started training dog’s as a hobby; by helping other Dog owners with her knowledge and natural flair with dogs. 24 years on she is running a very successful full time business offering Dog Home Boarding, Pet Care and Dog Training in East Sussex. During this time she has studied throughout and passed her NVQ level 2 in all aspects of Pet care, Dog Training and First Aid, she is now studying with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training, Cheryl is aiming to get her BA (hons) Degree with Middlesex University by 2016/17.
Cheryl offers one to one training, this has been especially successful with dogs that require or would benefit from a home boarding experience rather than kennelling, Cheryl has trained the “problematic” dogs before their owners go away, the one to one training Cheryl did with the dogs and their owners allowed the dogs to come and stay with her without incidents.
Cheryl strongly believes in leadership and has proven time and time again that this is the way to success, she uses reward based training. Cheryl has recently studied Canine Nutrition and has a very keen interest in what a dog should and shouldn’t eat, a poor diet leading to poor health can have a profound negative affect on a dogs behaviour.
Its Cheryl’s ultimate goal to help reduce the number of dogs that have been sent to rehoming centres, keeping owner and dog living in harmony is an achievable goal for any dog owner struggling with a dog that has become a problem.
