Sue is a committed and enthusiastic dog trainer and breeder with over 30 years’ experience.
Throughout her life she has had many successes with her dogs in both showing and working but now specialises in obedience training and behavioural issues.
Sue, for many years, trained and showed Standard Poodles at national level before taking an interest in country side pursuits and began breeding and training German Shorthaired Pointers.
Sue is passionate in reward based training and has many qualifications including a Dog Training Diploma with distinction, Canine Therapy Diploma with distinction, Canine Holistic Health, Canine Reiki level 1 and 2 and Dog and Puppy First Aid.
Sue runs dog obedience and socialisation sessions weekly, providing separate classes for puppies and older dogs. These hour long sessions are run at a local community centre and are a small affair providing the opportunity for dogs and owners to have focused and targeted guidance.
Sue also provides a one on one service that incorporates an evaluation or assessment of the dog and then structuring a bespoke lesson plan to address any obedience or behavioural issues that the dog or owner may have. These sessions are normally hourly, although longer sessions can be arranged. Sue also facilitates full day or weekly ‘bootcamp’ sessions on a one to one basis for a more intensive training package. All sessions are held in the dogs home or at a suitable local venue.
Sue also provides training in ring craft for people wanting to show their dogs relying on many years of experience in all aspects of dog shows.
Sue is a conscientious and hard working dog enthusiast who will tailor a reward based approach, not just for the dog but also for the dogs owners with the ultimate aim of the perfect canine human relationship.
