With dog training facilities near Swansea, weekly classes are held ranging from puppy and juvenile, through to basic, intermediate, advanced obedience classes
Charles Wall is a professional dog trainer with experience dating back nearly thirty years. He is the co-founder and Managing Director of A1K9 Ltd, a company known for providing highly trained dogs to both an established and growing clientele, not just here in the UK, but worldwide.
Charles regularly instructs group obedience training classes and also has great success in tutoring people and their “problem” dogs on a one to one basis for obedience. Charles is also known for helping owners with their dogs that are displaying different behavioural issues; some of the most common problems that he regularly deals with are dogs that are exhibiting aggression towards both other dogs and people.
Charles is particularly well known for his work with German Shepherds and other large breeds, although his own dogs include a Wheaten Terrier, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Dutch Herder as well as several German Shepherds. Charles is both a full member of the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers and is also an accredited assessor for their security division. In addition, he is also a member of the National Training Inspectorate for Professional Dog Users and is again an assessor for their courses.
Originally from London, Charles relocated to Wales in 1989 due to an acquisition made by one of his other company’s’ and a few years later, he was able to realise his dream of spending more time working with dogs; A1K9 was born and has through dedication and hard work continued to thrive.
At the company’s extensive training facilities near Swansea, weekly classes are held for local people, ranging from puppy and juvenile classes, through to basic, intermediate and more advanced obedience classes. There are indoor and outdoor training facilities and a fully equipped dog agility area. Charles works with dogs out of passion not necessity and attributes most of his knowledge as coming from the real experts, the dogs that he has worked with.
His focus, when training people with their dogs, is always on trying to show the owners how to read and understand their own individual dogs and to use that understanding to establish better communication, which in turn, leads to better control and balance in the dog and owner relationship. Charles believes all relationships are built on balance, trust and understanding.
