Monika has worked with dogs for over 15 years. She is a confident dog handler, rehabilitator and behaviourist with her knowledge and skills are based on years of hands on experience. In Poland she has spent much time in rescue centres where she handled and worked with demanding breeds such as the Cane Corso, Dogo Argentino and American Pit Bull Terrier – this is where her passion for canine behavioural rehabilitation began.
She has attended a number of canine behavioural seminars across the UK including seminars run by Shaun Ellis – an English animal researcher who is well known for working and living among wolves.
She has herself spent long hours in wolves’ enclosures observing and gaining a better understanding of canine body language.
Monika has had amazing success with behavioural consultations, helping to rehabilitate many dogs in the UK and Poland. She is truly passionate about working breeds and is a specialist in canine body language and fear-based aggression.
Driven by a love, compassion and understanding, her approach is professional, non-judgemental, straight forward and realistic, always working in the best interest of the dog and its owner. She treats each dog as an individual. She is attentive to details, has great listening and effective communication skills.
Monika grown up amongst stray and rescue dogs since she was a young child, owned mainly working breeds and currently a beautiful English Mastiff that suffered with severe fear-based aggression in the past.
Monika mainly runs one to one training sessions,obedience training and behavioural consultations. She also provides a range of advice for people looking to become dog owners, or people thinking of entering the world show handling classes.
She is fully trained in animal first aid, canine and small animal hydrotherapy, show handling, as a dog training instructor and provides a range of behavioural consultations.
She is a member of Mastiff Association UK, Kennel Club Affiliate, Guild of Dog Trainers and student at Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training.
